Overview

The 2009 Lincoln MKX is a dynamic four-door, five-passenger, luxury SUV available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive trims (FWD and AWD). Introduced two years ago as Lincoln's first entry level luxury crossover, the MKX is known for its power and performance with various attractive packages.

Power and performance

A 3.5L DOHC 24-valve Duratec aluminum V6 engine rated at 265 horsepower is standard on both trims. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The FWD trim delivers 17/24 mpg (city/highway) and the AWD gives out 15/22 mpg (city/highway).

Body and styling

Eight-spoke machined-aluminum wheels with Euroflange measuring 18-inch and P245/60R18 all-season BSW tires are standard. Also, 18-inch 8-spoke chrome-clad aluminum wheels with Euroflange and 20-inch 7-spoke chrome-clad aluminum wheels are available. A host of quality and standard equipment such as all-weather floor mats (Black, in addition to standard floor mats); Panoramic Vista Roof with dual power sunshades; Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system; roof-rack side rails (Black); and heated rear seats along with available options such as voice-activated, hard drive-based Navigation System (described in Elite Package) that includes THX II Certified 5.1 surround audio system with AM/FM stereo/single-CD/DVD/Jukebox, MP3 capability, 14 speakers (Including 8-inch subwoofer), 600 watts of power, and 12 amplifier channels; and THX II Certified Audio System with AM/FM stereo/6-disc in-dash CD changer with MP3 capability, 14 speakers (including 8" subwoofer), 600 watts of power, and 12 amplifier channels; the 2009 Lincoln MKX redefines comfort and luxury. A number of packages like Ultimate, Limited Edition, Monochrome Limited, Elite, Ebony Interior, and Class II Trailer Tow make the 2009 Lincoln MKX more classy and dynamic to suit today's hi-tech lifestyle.
